We are looking for an ambitious and commercially aware Assistant Manager - Mixed Tax / Corporate Tax to join our growing tax team in practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with mixed tax experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a client-focused and technically stimulating environment.

In this role, you will support the tax department in managing a portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors. You will be involved in both corporate and personal tax compliance, as well as ad hoc advisory work.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring delivery of timely and accurate tax compliance services (corporate and personal tax).
  • Review tax returns and computations prepared by junior staff and provide support and training where necessary.
  • Prepare more complex corporate and personal tax returns as needed.
  • Assist in the delivery of tax advisory projects, including corporate restructuring, remuneration planning, R&D claims, and shareholder matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and support with any investigations or enquiries.
  • Collaborate with audit and accounts teams to ensure tax compliance is integrated and aligned.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and colleagues.

Person Responsibilities:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or finalist).
  • Experience working in a tax role within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Good knowledge of both corporate and personal tax compliance.
  • Exposure to advisory work is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments effectively.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative working style.
