Head of Procurement

Milton Keynes - Hybrid working (2 office/3 home)

Are you a dynamic and commercially astute procurement leader ready to shape an organisations procurement function from the ground up? We're looking for a creative Head of Procurement to take charge of our client's procurement strategy and lead a talented team in delivering best practice and value-driven services across the organisation.

In this exciting senior leadership role, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how this organisation works with it's suppliers - building strong internal and external relationships, driving commercial excellence, and embedding transparency throughout the supply chain. Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing Procurement Strategy to align with organisational goalsStandardising procurement practices across the business to improve consistency and efficiencyDriving cost savings, process improvements, and supplier innovationManaging high-value, high-risk contracts and strategic negotiationsEnsuring supplier governance, performance, ESG compliance, and value deliveryProviding procurement insights and reporting to senior leadershipFostering close collaboration with finance, legal, data protection, information security and operational teamsLeading and developing a newly formed procurement team

Who are we looking for:

A seasoned Head of Procurement or senior procurement lead with a strong track record in designing and leading procurement functionsExpert knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier governanceA commercially minded, results-driven approach with a focus on ethical procurement and long-term valueExcellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skillsExperience in procurement transformation, including digital enablement and sustainability initiativesCapability to deliver change and design centre-led procurement strategiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
