Role Requirements:

Supervise and mentor junior team members in general bookkeeping tasksPrepare and review VAT returns, then provide final approvalHandle trial balances from preparation through to sign-offOversee the completion and authorisation of corporate accountsManage the preparation and approval of CT600 corporate tax returnsCoordinate monthly payroll and CIS filings, ensuring they are signed offGreat ability to coach and mentor juniors in a team

Person Requirements:

ACCA/ACA qualified (preferred, not essential)Minimum of 7 years experience with a UK accountancy firmStrong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and HMRC requirementsProven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and meet filing deadlinesConfident communicator with leadership and mentoring experience

The firm provides a wide range of services to a varied portfolio of SME clients, sole traders, and partnerships. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Semi-Senior to join their team.

This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a diverse range of responsibilities. You will work closely with senior staff and clients, contributing to both routine and advanced accounting functions, as well as supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Role Requirements -

Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and SMEsAssisting with the production of management accountsSupervision of bookkeeping and VAT return preparationLiaising with clients and providing day-to-day supportMentoring and supporting junior staff membersEnsuring deadlines and compliance standards are metContributing to the smooth running and development of our team-based approach

Person Requirements -
