Butler Rose are delighted to represent a thriving and established firm seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to join a friendly and busy payroll team based in Huddersfield.This position is based within an established payroll department, therefore the successful candidate should possess solid end to end payroll processing expertise with experience within a similar payroll position processing multiple payrolls on a weekly/fortnightly/four weekly/ monthly basis. The successful candidate should possess experience of managing the payroll from start to finish and be able to oversee a small payroll team, delegating workloads and providing support as and when required.Role ResponsibilitiesUndertaking the daily operations of the payroll department ensuring timely and accurate processing of payrolls.Supervision of a small team providing guidance, training Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, including tax regulations, national insurance and pension auto-enrolment.Review and approve payroll calculations/adjustments.Deal with payroll queries in a professional and effective manner.Liaison with the HMRC.Process PAYE, NI and RTI submissionsProcess starters/leavers and attachment of earningsDeal with SMP/SSPPrepare and submit monthly/annual HMRC returnsPerson SpecificationExperience of full end to end payroll processing within a senior payroll position.Excellent organisation and time management skills.Strong attention to detailStrong communication skills both written and verbal.Salary & Benefitsto c£40K + 5 wks Holidays + Pension + CIPP Training/developmentIf you are an existing Payroll Manager or Payroll Senior/Supervisor seeking a step up in your career to a more rewarding position offering prospects and training development for the future, then act now and apply today!
