We are supporting a client in Okehampton with the recruitment of a Management Accountant. The organisation is entering an exciting phase of investment, refurbishment, and growth, creating an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a real impact within a dynamic and evolving environment.
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the on-site finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, business planning, and operational decision-making. You will work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business, helping to drive financial performance and support future growth plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including commentaryAccruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliationsWeekly supplier payment runs and bank reconciliationsCompleting monthly payroll reconciliationsVAT returnsMonitoring cash flow, budgets, and forecastsSupporting the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecastsProducing ad hoc financial analysis and reports to support decision-making

A practical, team-oriented professional who loves the buzz of working for an in-house team and would thrive in a business with the international reach and growth this does! Ideally, AAT Level 4 qualified or strongly qualified by experience with proven experience in a similar role with strong Excel skills (confident with pivot tables, lookups and data) and happy to work with multi-currency transactions. A natural problem solver who is adaptable and keen to grow and is a great communicator when it comes to collaborating both within the finance team and outside of it!
Your salary, benefits and the hours | 4pm Friday finishes - mandatory!
Offering a competitive local salary between £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) you'll receive 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), on-site parking and pension scheme. Working a 40 hour week, we'll work to be flexible but typical start times are from 8am and finish times 5pm - other than Fridays where your weekend starts at 4pm!
