Simon Wicks

CEO

Simon Wicks has extensive experience in accountancy and finance recruitment, starting with Hays in 1997, moving to Reed Finance, and then to Sheridan Maine as a Board Director. In 2014, he became CEO of Butler Rose. Simon excels at growing successful teams and enjoys good food, traveling, particle physics, and poker in his spare time.

Gareth Dagger

Director - South-West England

Gareth started his career in recruitment in 2005, and has extensive experience across the accountancy & finance markets in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Before joining Butler Rose in 2016, he was a Business Director for a global recruiter. Extremely well networked Gareth leads our South West division and personally recruits for various sectors from SMEs to PLCs, handling roles from newly qualified to Finance Director and CFO. He is known for his honest and consultative approach and always aims to match the right candidate with the right role. Outside work, Gareth enjoys an active lifestyle with his family and has a keen interest in sport, including playing and coaching football.

Anthony Tait

Director – Bucks, Beds & Herts

Anthony, who began his recruitment career in 2004 and quickly won a 'Best Newcomer' award, specializes in the accountancy and finance sector. Joining Butler Rose at its launch in 2014, he leads the South Midlands division, boasting vast experience and a strong network of clients and candidates. In his free time, Anthony enjoys fine dining, traveling, fitness, sports, and business affairs.

Doug Greer

Divisional Manager – Practice

Doug transitioned from a finance career as a Financial Controller to accountancy and finance recruitment in 2005. After 12 years with a national recruiter, reaching Senior Regional Manager, he moved to a boutique firm as a Director. Joining Butler Rose in 2021, Doug leads a team in London and the Home Counties, specializing in the practice market and securing talent in a competitive field.

Adam Pudvine

Managing Director - North England

Following the completion of an MSc in Occupational Psychology, Adam worked for the Page group recruiting in the senior finance sector across the North West with some of the region’s largest businesses. He then moved to a leading HR and Legal outsourcing business to head up the internal HR and Recruitment function where he helped transition the business from a small delivery team to in excess of 100 heads - leading to its eventual sale to one of the Big 4. During this time, Adam implemented lasting recruitment processes, psychometric testing and induction processes that are still in use today. Adam then moved back into the world of recruitment consultancy to head up a large team of multi-discipline recruiters for Reed, leading successful teams of over 30 consultants across 14 industry sectors, before joining Butler Rose in 2024. Adam has experience in launching sustainable recruitment divisions, with the main emphasis being on enabling his teams to deliver a uniquely world-class service to clients and candidates. Out of work, Adam is a big football fan and loves nothing more than spending the weekend watching his son play football.
