Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting for a Product Engineer on behalf of a well-established and highly successful manufacturing organisation based in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to join a forward-thinking business, supporting the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes within a technically advanced production environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Product Engineering Team Leader, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and maintaining best practice across product engineering activities. You will work closely with production, quality and customer-facing teams to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, meet customer requirements and achieve the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes and engineering standards.Provide technical support to production teams to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products.Manage engineering projects and product-related programmes from concept through to implementation.Utilise CAD, CNC and 3D modelling tools to support manufacturing activities.Apply Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework and process variation.Analyse manufacturing data and prepare qualification, scrap and rework reports.Implement process controls and dimensional improvements to enhance product quality.Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process optimisation and waste reduction.Present technical information and project updates to a range of stakeholders.Promote and maintain a safe working environment in line with company standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline.Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.Experience using CAD software and/or tooling design principles.Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and MRP systems.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Strong organisational and project management capabilities.A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.Confidence presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Experience

Injection moulding, ceramics processing or related manufacturing technologies.Experience supporting complex production environments and process development activities.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our clients warehouse and logistics operation in East Leeds. This position is working for an exciting SME on a growth trajectory.

You will lead a team of warehouse operatives across picking and packing, overseeing the full warehouse process from goods in through to picking, packing and goods out. Customer orders will be generated by the Customer Service team, with you responsible for ensuring those orders are processed accurately, efficiently and on time.

This is a key operational role for someone who enjoys being close to the day-to-day running of a warehouse, while also having the ability to improve processes, develop a team and introduce greater structure and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Logistics Operations

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operation.Lead, organise and motivate a team of 10 pickers and packers.Oversee the complete warehouse flow:Goods in and receipt of deliveriesPut-away and storageStock movementOrder pickingPacking and dispatchGoods out and collectionsEnsure customer orders received from Customer Service are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and within agreed timescales.Plan daily workloads and allocate resources effectively to meet demand.Coordinate with Customer Service, suppliers, couriers and other internal teams to resolve operational issues.

Butler Rose is exclusively partnering with a market-leading, high-growth manufacturing business in Leyland who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

They're already part of a multi-million-pound international group and with over 100 employees on-site in Leyland, they are still currently experiencing huge growth meaning genuine progression opportunities for you!This isn't a back-office processing role, you'll work closely with the operations, procurement and account management teams, actively participating in pricing strategies and margin analysis that directly impacts the bottom line.You'll work for a CFO who is actively focused on continuous improvement and join a collaborative in-house finance team with exposure to standard costing, complex inventory valuations, multi-currency transactions, cross-border VAT and group reporting.

What you'll be doing in your new role.

As the Assistant Management Accountant, your main purpose will be to keep core accounting processes running smoothly while delivering insights to drive the business forward, blending essential transactional responsibilities with high-level analytical support by...

Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, collating and organising financial data for international group reporting, supporting with variance analysis, identifying trend patterns and producing Excel-based reports.Drilling down into sales performance, gross margins, cost trends, supporting with product costing and pricing analysis and investigating anomalies and inconsistencies.Supporting accounts payable and receivable particularly during peak month-end periods, assisting with month-end closure including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations.

Who we're looking for - does this sound like you?

A practical, team-oriented professional who loves the buzz of working for an in-house team and would thrive in a business with the international reach and growth this does! Ideally, AAT Level 4 qualified or strongly qualified by experience with proven experience in a similar role with strong Excel skills (confident with pivot tables, lookups and data) and happy to work with multi-currency transactions. A natural problem solver who is adaptable and keen to grow and is a great communicator when it comes to collaborating both within the finance team and outside of it!

Your salary, benefits and the hours | 4pm Friday finishes - mandatory!

Offering a competitive local salary between £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) you'll receive 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), on-site parking and pension scheme. Working a 40 hour week, we'll work to be flexible but typical start times are from 8am and finish times 5pm - other than Fridays where your weekend starts at 4pm!
