The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key part in the day to day running of the finance function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, has a keen eye for detail, and wants to grow within a successful business.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Processing supplier invoices and staff expensesPreparing and posting journals and reconciliationsAssisting with month end and year end accountsMaintaining and reconciling balance sheet accountsSupporting cash flow forecasting and reportingManaging supplier queries and payment runsAssisting with stock and cost analysisSupporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial tasksHelping to improve processes and drive efficiencies within the finance function

About You:

AAT qualified (or studying towards)
Minimum of 2 year's experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confident using Excel and accounting systems
Able to work on site full time in Warrington

Role Responsibilities -

Duties

Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax, and personal tax returns for directors.Meet regularly with key clients to discuss their financial performance and provide proactive advice.Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring files are ready for senior review.Support and mentor colleagues from apprentice level through to senior, contributing to the day-to-day management of the accounts team.Ensure accounts and tax returns are submitted in line with compliance and close-down procedures.Monitor client issues, providing solutions and maintaining high levels of service.Manage your own client workflow, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional services across the firm.

What we're looking for

ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.Proven background within an accountancy practice environment.Strong technical knowledge of FRS102, FRS102 Section 1A, and FRS105.Experience with consolidations and maintaining strong client relationships.Confident communicator with the ability to manage work independently and as part of a team.Experience mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their professional development.

This role is ideal for a skilled payroller with strong experience using SAP and a thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll services, acting as a bridge between our business and offshore teams. You will provide expert support on complex payroll issues, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to process improvements and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in UK payroll and related services.
Support offshore teams with complex cases, error resolution, and process escalations.
Manage and oversee payroll audits, data reviews, and approvals.

What We're Looking For:
