This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of customer accounts, ensuring balances are up to date and payments are received on time.Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal departments to resolve queries efficiently.Support the preparation of reports to assist with the month-end process.Process incoming payments, allocate receipts, and maintain accurate records.Produce customer statements and respond to copy invoice requests.Assist with setting up new customer accounts and maintaining existing information.Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As VAT & Indirect Tax Manager your key responsibilities will be as follows:

Managing a portfolio of clients, including audits for companies ranging from £10m to £50m in turnoverLeading audits and preparing financial statements for a wide range of industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, retail, and moreSupporting the Directors with business planning and tax compliancePreparing and reviewing management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end accountsLiaising directly with clients to ensure high-quality service deliveryManaging junior staff and providing support and mentoring where appropriate


ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have experience in both audit and accounts, with a solid understanding of UK GAAP.

You should be comfortable managing your own portfolio, with the ability to balance multiple tasks effectively. The firm would particularly welcome someone who is ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), though those with relevant experience at a semi-senior level will also be considered.
