Senior Accountant - Top 50 firm

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a highly prominent top 50 firm of accountants based from exceptional offices in the heart of the city that are eager to recruit an experienced and qualified (ACCA/ACA) Senior Accountant to complement their existing Business Services department.
Role Responsibilities -
The role will combine office-based and client facing obligations, working within a small team under the supervision of a manager and partner. Working in the accounts team, where effectively up to 50% of time will be on year-end accounts and 50% on management accounts as well as preparing draft tax computations.
Working on a diverse portfolio of clients including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP's, partnerships, and sole traders. To produce accurate draft accounts with minimal outstanding queries together with well-presented working papers, in a timely and methodical manner.
Production of financial statements together with well-presented working papers ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Serve as a key client contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing advice and support on financial matters.
Guide and review the work of trainees and junior team members, for accuracy and completeness.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Preparation of management accounts.
Utilise accounting software and tools to streamline operations and reporting.
Ad hoc specialist assignments as and when they arise.
Person Requirements -
Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 3+ years' experience in a similar Senior Accountant/Accounts Senior role working for a prominent UK based accounting firm.
Able to demonstrate wide experience and competency in full accounts production from basic prime books and records through to computerised accounting packages.
Ideally proficient in the use of CCH as well as Sage and QuickBooks software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
