We are recruiting for an experienced and fully qualified Financial Controller to join a growing, construction project-led business in Manchester.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the monthly accounts process, financial controls, statutory compliance and project reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working autonomously and making a real impact within the finance function.
The Role
Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and month-end journals.Own the month-end close process and maintain robust financial controls.Complete and review all key balance sheet reconciliations.Produce cash flow forecasts, budgets and variance analysis.Support project accounting, cost tracking and profitability reporting.Prepare VAT returns and manage HMRC correspondence.Assist with statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit requirements.Monitor debtor and creditor positions, providing meaningful financial insight to management.About You
