Experienced Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice

Lancaster

Up to £30k

Full time or Part-time will be considered

Butler Rose are working with an established accountancy firm based in Lancaster, who are now looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their busy and growing accountancy practice.

You'll manage your own portfolio of SME clients, providing monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and VAT services. This is a thriving area of the practice, and the firm are looking for someone who can deliver an excellent client service while working independently.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a portfolio of SME clients
  • Carrying out bookkeeping using cloud-based software such as QuickBooks and Xero
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide advice where needed

What we're looking for

  • Experience in bookkeeping and VAT returns
  • Confident user of cloud accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
