A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its Audit & Advisory team in Ipswich. This position offers the opportunity to lead assignments, build strong client relationships and play a key role in delivering both compliance and advisory services. You'll be working closely with managers and partners, helping to shape and support the firm's continued growth while ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
Role Responsibilities
Take ownership of audit planning, execution and completion, ensuring objectives are met.Participate in planning discussions, identifying potential risks and shaping audit strategy.Supervise and guide junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and effective training on-site.Review working papers, draft financial statements and prepare sections of client reports.Manage audit assignments against budgets, deadlines and quality standards.Liaise directly with clients, maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities for wider service offerings.Ensure appropriate use of audit software (e.g. Caseware) and compliance with firm procedures.Provide constructive feedback to team members through appraisals and regular communication.Stay current with audit methodology and professional requirements, maintaining CPD.Personal Requirements
