This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in coordinating and directing the manufacturing process, ensuring resources and materials are utilised effectively to deliver excellent customer service at optimum cost.

The Role

As Production Planner, you will:

Compile and manage daily and weekly production plans across prep, production, and packing.Balance capacity within a 2-week horizon to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.Monitor despatch stocks and resolve discrepancies.Act as the guardian of customer service performance, communicating effectively across teams.Generate KPI dashboards for service, plan conformance, and waste reduction.Coordinate product trials, promotional activity, and other exceptional production requirements.Conduct data analysis, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

Previous planning or scheduling experience within food manufacturing (desirable).Strong Excel skills (advanced level preferred).Excellent attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.A problem-solving mindset with the confidence to make decisions under pressure.Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.

The Opportunity
Butler Rose are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Demand Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional to play a pivotal role in shaping supply chain strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate forecast models, working closely with Commercial, Sales, Marketing teams and major UK retailers to ensure demand plans are aligned and business performance targets are met. Your contribution will directly support improved forecast accuracy, reduced waste, and enhanced customer service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage forecasts using MRP and other planning tools.Collaborate with Commercial teams and retailers on promotional and seasonal planning.Analyse historical sales trends and demand drivers to refine forecast models.Coordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile forecast variances.Support production planning and MRP processes.Drive continuous improvement in planning systems and processes.

The Ideal Candidate:
