Audit Assistant Manager or Manager - medium sized firm

Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be working with a well-established (nearly 100 years), medium-sized accountancy firm based in the heart of Central London. Known for combining traditional values with a modern approach, they're looking for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager or Manager to join their sizeable and highly successful audit and accounts team.

The role -
You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, from ambitious owner-managed businesses to large international groups. No two days are the same, and you'll have plenty of scope to make an impact - both with your clients and within the team.

Role Requirements -
Managing a diverse client portfolio and planning audit and accounts assignments.
Building strong relationships with clients and being their go-to contact.
Reviewing and presenting high-quality audit files and financial statements to partners.
Coaching, mentoring, and appraising junior members of the team.
Helping to improve processes and efficiencies within the audit function.
Taking responsibility for budgets, deadlines, and client satisfaction.

Person Requirements -
ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience within a focused audit role, and currently working in the capacity of either assistant manager or manager for a well-established UK based accounting and audit firm.
Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102, Companies Act, ISA standards, and Corporation Tax
Proven experience in leading a team as well as audit planning, risk assessment, and managing assignments through to completion.
Experience working with international groups and consolidations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise clients confidently.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching junior staff.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Competent with Excel and familiar with accounting/audit software such as CCH, ProAudit, Digita as well as cloud based accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks
