An established and forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking a talented Tax Assistant Manager or Tax Manager to join its growing Private Client Tax team in Ely. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys a blend of compliance and advisory work, particularly with private clients, trusts and high-net-worth individuals.
Role Responsibilities
Manage your own portfolio of private clients, ensuring compliance and filing deadlines are met.Prepare and review Self Assessment tax returns, capital gains computations and income schedules.Provide advice on Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, trusts and non-resident tax matters.Assist with and draft tax planning reports and advisory notes for review.Support Partners with complex advisory projects and client communications.Oversee and review work of junior team members, providing feedback and guidance.Contribute to business development, maintaining and strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities for added value.Stay current with tax legislation, ensuring advice and compliance work are accurate and up to date.Personal Requirements
ATT qualified (or QBE) with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in personal tax.CTA qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.Strong background in personal tax compliance with exposure to advisory work.Experience with trusts and IHT matters would be advantageous.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to explain complex issues clearly to clients.A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to work independently or collaboratively within a team.Benefits

Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for automation by working with tax technology specialists and tax subject matter experts to improve processes using advanced tools and systems.Evaluate technology solutions, assessing business cases in partnership with the Tax Technology leadership and service line teams.Support the adoption of AI and automation, helping to integrate new tools, adjust business processes, and realise measurable benefits.Define target processes and user stories, collaborating with the Tax Technology Manager to shape requirements for increased automation and AI use.Act as a communication bridge between business teams and the tax technology function, ensuring alignment throughout project delivery.Participate in testing activities, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and deliver on intended outcomes.Key Requirements:

Role Requirements -
Prepare and review creative sector tax compliance work and tax relief claims
