FP&A Analyst

Butler Rose is exclusively working with a leading manufacturing business in Plymouth to recruit an ambitious FP&A Analyst to join its growing finance team.

In this role, you'll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, financial modelling, and delivering insight to support strategic decision-making. You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of a modern, technology-driven FP&A function, helping improve reporting processes, automation, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Produce monthly performance reports and variance analysis.
  • Develop rolling forecasts and financial models.
  • Deliver analysis on revenue, margins, costs, and operational performance.
  • Support board and senior leadership reporting.
  • Drive improvements in reporting, automation, and FP&A systems.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and finance transformation initiatives.

About You

  • Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially minded.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Previous FP&A or financial analysis experience.
  • Manufacturing, consumer goods, or retail sector experience.
  • Experience with Planful, Power BI, Power Query, or ERP systems.
