Job Advert: Management Accountant
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you a skilled Management Accountant with a passion for the leisure and hospitality sector? We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a well-established business in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving sector and play a key role in driving financial performance within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate and timely management accounts for the business.Produce monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Support with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.Monitor and report on performance against budget and highlight key variances.Assist with financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for cost improvement.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and best practices.Support in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors as required.Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and improve operational efficiency.Help with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required.Requirements:ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified (or equivalent).Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the leisure or hospitality sectorStrong technical accounting skills with the ability to prepare and interpret management accounts.Experience in financial analysis and providing actionable insights to improve business performance.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with non-financial managers.Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.What We Offer:Competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience.A vibrant and collaborative working environment in the leisure and hospitality sector.Opportunities for career growth and development within the business.A supportive finance team and leadership who value professional growth.A chance to be part of a business that values innovation, team collaboration, and efficiency.
