A forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking for an Accounts Senior. This position is ideal for an experienced accountant ready to take the next step in their career. You'll be part of a supportive and progressive team, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients and contributing to the growth and development of the practice.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day client work is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Review work of others to ensure standards, quality and compliance requirements are met and identify any issues.
- Support junior team members with queries to ensure accurate work is produced.
- Deliver client work to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
- Ensure client documentation is received efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Handle client requests and queries professionally, promoting client loyalty.
- Prepare client paperwork, including accounts and tax submissions, within allocated deadlines.
- Represent the firm professionally through conduct, appearance and attitude.
- Plan and manage your own workload to ensure deadlines are met and work is ready for sign-off.
Personal Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with prior experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards, audit processes and tax (corporation, VAT, personal).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, committed to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- A team player with the ability to work independently when required.
