HR Administrator

Permanent | Full Time (35 Hours) | £28,000+ DOE

We're working with a well-established and growing organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced HR Administrator to join its people team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional who enjoys working in a varied role and wants to play a key part in supporting the employee lifecycle. You'll work closely with managers and employees across the business, providing support across HR administration, employee relations, recruitment, payroll and training.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent organisational skills and enjoy building strong working relationships across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting managers and employees with a range of HR queries and employee relations matters.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring HR systems are kept up to date.
  • Assisting with recruitment activities, including coordinating interviews and onboarding new starters.
  • Supporting payroll processes and ensuring employee information is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment terms and conditions.
  • Coordinating training and development activities across the organisation.
  • Producing HR reports and management information as required.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and HR projects.
  • Assisting with the implementation of process improvements and HR best practice.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a HR Administration or similar HR role.
  • A minimum of 2 years' payroll experience.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the office
  • Good Excel and IT skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous yet not essential.
