Are you an experienced Financial Controller available for an immediate start? We're working with a well-established organisation in Preston that is looking for a hands-on finance professional to join the team on a temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, provide financial leadership, and support the business during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day finance function.
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Support year-end and audit processes.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insights.
  • Lead and support the finance team where required.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to support business decision-making.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
  • Available to start immediately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
