Butler Rose ,Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client on their search for an Audit Semi-Senior. Currently the firm consists of 30 staff members and they are looking to expand. As an Audit Semi-Senior, you will take on more responsibility in managing audit assignments, coordinating junior staff, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audits. You'll bridge the gap between junior auditors and senior managers, contributing to quality audit delivery and client relationship management.
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audit procedures for assigned clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and company policies.
- Supervise and review the work of Audit Juniors to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform substantive testing on financial statements, internal controls, and compliance checks.
- Identify and analyze issues or risks during audits and communicate findings to senior auditors and clients.
- Prepare clear and concise audit working papers and documentation.
- Assist in drafting audit reports and management letters with actionable recommendations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients to obtain information, clarify issues, and build strong relationships.
- Support training and mentoring of junior audit staff to develop their technical skills.
- Keep updated on relevant accounting regulations, auditing standards, and industry trends.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in audit methodology and processes.
Personal Requirements:
- ACCA or ACA Part Qualified / Qualified
- Typically 2-4 years of audit experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or audit department.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and risk assessment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Good leadership skills and experience in supervising junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in audit software and MS Office applications.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment:
- Office-based with some travel to client sites - travel reimbursed
- Collaborative team environment.
- Mentorship and training provided.
