Are you an experienced internal auditor looking to take ownership of meaningful projects in a values-led organisation? We're supporting a highly respected Milton Keynes based organisation in their search for an Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join their team on a 12 Month FTC

In this role, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and risk management practices across a varied and evolving organisation. This is a hands-on audit role that offers a genuine opportunity to influence business operations and engage with senior stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver risk-based internal audits across operational, financial, and compliance areas.Collaborate with departments to identify control weaknesses and agree pragmatic actions.Own and develop internal self-assessment and compliance reporting processes.Maintain audit records, monitor follow-up actions, and support external audit activity where required.Promote best practices in governance, risk, and assurance across the organisation.What We're Looking ForA professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or IIA.Strong experience delivering internal audit assignments independently.Practical knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with audit software.An inquisitive mindset, with the confidence to engage stakeholders and drive improvement.
