Role Requirements-

Assisting in the management of a small portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring their bookkeeping, management reporting, statutory accounts and any ad-hoc tasks are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis.Preparation of management accounts and reports.Preparation of VAT returns.Working with the client managers to understand the client's requirements and identifying areas where more detailed advice may be required.Identify opportunities for any additional services that clients may need and liaise with subject specialists.Supporting junior members of staff with their training, including reviewing their bookkeeping.Preparation of billing proposals.

Person Responsibilities -

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an Accountancy practiceICAEW/ ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or qualified by experienceCommitted to maintaining their technical knowledge to a high levelCompetent in using MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and ExcelCompetent using Xero and accounting software such as Iris or similarSelf-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenariosGood people and communication skills (including telephone manner)Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focusAbility to work within a team and to be able to complete tasks independently with little assistanceDemonstrates excellent analytical and research skillsExperience with reviewing workCashflow forecasting, tax management and budgetary control experience preferableSales invoicing and credit control experience preferableExposure to billing and understanding of commerciality

Role Responsibilities

Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies up to final stage for partner review and sign-off.Preparation of tax computations and submission of tax returns for individuals and companies.Supporting clients with queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.Assisting and mentoring junior members of staff and trainees.Carrying out general ad hoc accountancy and practice duties as required.

Personal Requirements

Working closely with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individual clients, the successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of accounts, tax compliance work and client support activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional who is progressing through their studies and is looking to broaden their technical exposure while developing their client-facing responsibilities within a supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory accounts for a range of limited companies businesses.Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.Completion and review of VAT returns.Supporting clients with bookkeeping and accounting software queries.Liaising directly with clients regarding financial information and compliance requirements.Assisting with management accounts and ad hoc reporting assignments.Supporting senior team members on more complex assignments.Working with a range of industries, including construction-related clients where applicable.Assisting with compliance matters relating to CIS where relevant.

Personal Requirements

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified.Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero and Dext.Organised approach with strong attention to detail.Keen to continue professional development and progress towards qualification.Any exposure to Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) work would be advantageous.
