A top 60 accountancy firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing Cambridge office. With a diverse client portfolio ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses to large international groups and not-for-profit organisations, this role offers a unique opportunity to build on your audit experience within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead small audit engagements and assist in the delivery of larger audits across a wide-ranging client portfolio.
- Plan and execute audits in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS where applicable.
- Prepare statutory accounts for Limited companies, LLPs, charities, and not-for-profits.
- Provide assistance on corporation tax matters for a variety of businesses.
- Maintain direct client contact, building strong working relationships.
- Work closely with other members of the Corporate Services team to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
Personal Requirements
- Recently qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience) finalists will also be considered with support offered to complete qualifications.
- Demonstrable audit experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP IFRS exposure desirable.
- Working knowledge of corporation tax and accounts preparation.
- Experience with CCH software or similar accountancy packages is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Flexible, motivated, and willing to travel occasionally.
