Are you an experienced Payroll and Credit Control professional looking for your next opportunity?

We're currently recruiting for a Payroll & Credit Control Assistant to join a busy team on a temporary basis, providing cover for a period of long-term sickness. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience who can hit the ground running and provide valuable support to the finance team.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting both payroll and credit control functions, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring employee information is accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting payroll queries and resolving discrepancies where required.
  • Managing credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments.
  • Monitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Allocating payments and reconciling accounts where necessary.
  • Communicating with customers and internal teams regarding outstanding balances and payment queries.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team with general administrative duties.

About You

  • Previous experience in payroll and credit control is essential.
  • Confident managing financial information and working accurately to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to deal with payroll queries and customer payment issues.
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Available to start at short notice would be advantageous.
