We are working exclusively on behalf of a leading UK business to recruit an experienced People & Culture Partner.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly commercial, fast-paced organisation operating across multiple specialist business areas. The role is based in Colne, reporting to the Group Head of People and Culture.

As People & Culture Partner, you will play a key role in shaping how the organisation attracts, manages, develops and supports its people. You will work closely with senior leaders and managers within a high-performance, sales-led environment, helping to establish modern, effective People & Culture practices while supporting a wider programme of standardisation and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will combine strong HR expertise with a pragmatic, commercially focused approach and will be comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside senior leaders and people managers to understand business priorities and provide practical, commercially aligned HR advice and support.
  • Develop and introduce effective people policies, processes and frameworks across areas such as performance, attendance, employee relations, onboarding, reward, engagement and wellbeing.
  • Take ownership of implementing consistent People & Culture practices across the UK business, adapting group-wide frameworks where necessary to suit the needs of a dynamic sales environment.
  • Support managers and employees through organisational change, helping to ensure new structures, processes and ways of working are successfully adopted.
  • Provide trusted advice on employee relations issues, including complex disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters, ensuring cases are handled fairly and in line with current UK employment legislation.
  • Help maximise the value and effectiveness of HR systems, supporting improvements to HRIS processes, data quality and the overall experience for employees and managers.
  • Develop and promote initiatives focused on employee wellbeing, resilience and maintaining a healthy and sustainable working environment.
  • Help drive the organisation's equality, diversity and inclusion agenda, ensuring people processes are equitable, consistent and inclusive.
  • Support managers with talent management, succession planning and performance development, helping to identify and nurture future talent.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to line managers to strengthen their people management skills and encourage greater ownership of employee-related matters.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider People & Culture function, sharing ideas, best practice and ensuring a consistent approach across the wider organisation.
  • Provide HR support throughout periods of organisational change, including restructures, employee consultation processes and TUPE activity where required.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional who is comfortable working closely with commercial leaders and operating in an environment where pace, performance and operational requirements are key.

You will ideally bring:

  • A strong background in a Senior HR position.
  • Experience working within a commercially focused, operational or sales environment.
  • A proven track record of creating, improving and embedding HR policies, procedures and processes, particularly within businesses experiencing growth or organisational change.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment legislation and demonstrable experience dealing with complex employee relations situations.
  • Experience implementing consistent HR approaches across multiple teams, locations, business units or legal entities.
  • Previous involvement in initiatives covering employee wellbeing, inclusion, diversity and wider people development.
  • Experience with the implementation, development or improvement of HR information systems would be an advantage.
  • A strong understanding of commercial priorities and the ability to provide people solutions that support both employee needs and business performance.
  • The confidence and credibility to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making and challenge constructively where appropriate.
  • A practical and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to operate strategically while also being comfortable getting involved in the detail.
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification, or equivalent professional experience, would be desirable.

What You Can Expect

This is an opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its development, with significant scope to influence and shape the People & Culture agenda.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

  • A supportive, collaborative and commercially focused working environment.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the development of the people function.
  • Excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Enhanced annual leave entitlement.
  • Enhanced family-friendly leave.
  • Access to salary sacrifice benefits.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Regular team, charity and social activities.
  • The opportunity to work alongside senior stakeholders and play a key role in organisational change and development.
  • Hybrid working.
