Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client based in Birmingham City Centre who's currently got an opportunity for a Corporate Tax Executive. This role can offer a clear progression path and will give you the opportunity to develop your tax knowledge. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive tax compliance service to a broad portfolio of clients, this role will allow you to build advisory experience whilst utilising the strong tax compliance experience you will have already gained.

Role Requirements -

Preparation and review of corporation tax computations.Taking an active role in the management of key tax milestones, return and payment deadlines.Corresponding with clients and HMRC.Supporting Partners and Managers on the delivery of tax advisory assignments and planning projects.

Personal Requirements -

The ATT or ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent). Being CTA qualified or part qualified, or looking to study towards the CTA qualification would be advantageous.Tax compliance experience gained from within a mixed tax and/or personal tax environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with people at various levels.Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

ABOUT THE JOB

The role will be client facing and split between the delivery of personal and corporate tax planning and advisory projects, compliance services and business development. As Associate Tax Director a summary of duties are as follows:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead advisory work for a significant portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, including tax compliance and planning projectsBuild trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solvingOversee the tax team members, including work-flow management, reviewing work, and providing trainingInterpret changes to taxation legislation and provide trusted advisory to clients and colleagues.Support business development strategies, including preparing proposals, actively seeking out opportunities, and assisting with marketing initiativesStrong client handling, managerial skills and a good detailed up to date working knowledge of corporate taxation matters/ issuesA growing network and the tenacity to continue to grow your network and help to develop and take on new opportunitiesA team player who can also work independently and with both more senior and junior team membersEstablish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements.Experience with international tax advice would also be helpful

PERSON SPECIFICATION

To be considered for the role of Associate Director, it is expected that you will meet the following criteria as follows:
