A well-established manufacturing business in Newton Abbot is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to join their team on a 12-month contract.

This is a hands-on position within a growing organisation that is expanding its workforce over the next year. You'll be joining a collaborative HR team, where each member plays to their strengths and teamwork is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, while supervising junior team members and contributing to the firm's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a portfolio of clients in accordance with UK auditing standards (ISA (UK)).Prepare and review audit planning documents, risk assessments, and audit strategy memos.Supervise and review the work of audit juniors and semi-seniors, ensuring compliance with firm methodology and professional standards.Perform technical reviews of financial statements prepared under FRS 102, FRS 105, and IFRS where applicable.Liaise with clients and audit managers throughout the audit process to ensure effective communication and timely completion.Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations for process improvement.Act as the primary point of contact for clients during audit engagements, maintaining strong working relationships.Manage client expectations and ensure excellent service delivery.Assist in resolving technical accounting and auditing queries.Coach, mentor, and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.

ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist) with a strong academic background.Minimum 3-5 years of audit experience in a UK public practice environment.Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102 / 105) and ISA (UK) auditing standards.Experience with audit software such as CaseWare, CCH, or Mercia Audit.Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines under pressure.Proven leadership and supervisory experience.Proficiency in Excel and cloud-based accounting systems.Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
