Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established firm based in Bridgnorth. They have a great opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior or recently promoted to Audit Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, while supervising junior team members and contributing to the firm's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a portfolio of clients in accordance with UK auditing standards (ISA (UK)).Prepare and review audit planning documents, risk assessments, and audit strategy memos.Supervise and review the work of audit juniors and semi-seniors, ensuring compliance with firm methodology and professional standards.Perform technical reviews of financial statements prepared under FRS 102, FRS 105, and IFRS where applicable.Liaise with clients and audit managers throughout the audit process to ensure effective communication and timely completion.Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations for process improvement.Act as the primary point of contact for clients during audit engagements, maintaining strong working relationships.Manage client expectations and ensure excellent service delivery.Assist in resolving technical accounting and auditing queries.Coach, mentor, and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.


Key Requirements:

ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist) with a strong academic background.Minimum 3-5 years of audit experience in a UK public practice environment.Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102 / 105) and ISA (UK) auditing standards.Experience with audit software such as CaseWare, CCH, or Mercia Audit.Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines under pressure.Proven leadership and supervisory experience.Proficiency in Excel and cloud-based accounting systems.Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

The Role

As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting all engineering, maintenance, and technical improvement activities across the site. Maintenance & Reliability

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.

Ensure all machinery meets reliability and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction

Health, Safety & Compliance

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with production, quality, and operations teams to align engineering efforts with wider business goals.

About You

Proven experience in a production or maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment (ideally food, FMCG, or similar).

Strong understanding of planned maintenance systems, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
