Job description
Butler Rose is pleased to be partnering with a reputable FTS250 business based in Leeds who is looking for a Head of Commercial. This is a 3-6 months contract with potential to go permanent, you will need to be immediately available to start or on short notice.

As the Head of Commercial you will ensure that the business maximise the commercial opportunities and minimise commercial risks associated with a key client account.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead all commercials, consulting / advising on commercial / contractual matters with the wider account team
• Achieve the EBIT target as set by the Commercial Director / Account Director
• Lead the processing & negotiation of significant variations to the contract
• Ensure variations to the contract are processed within agreed timescales and do not accept any unacceptable risks to the account
• Keep contact obligation tracker up to date and stakeholders aware of deliverables
• Resolve any commercial issues raised by the Client or internally to their satisfaction
• Ensure that there is a commercial plan in place to ensure that the business achieves the P&L, cash and contractual requirements
• Deliver expected contractual benefits on regular commercial deliverables
• Undertake periodic auditing / checking to ensure key stakeholders are complying with the processes in the contract and ensure charges are in accordance with agreed provisions.
• Make sure stakeholders are working in accordance with the commercial plan
• Manage the team and their performance ensuring they are working effectively, setting objectives and provide development and coaching

Key Attributes required:

• Demonstrable track record of commercial management of an IFM contract > £50m per annum
• Commercial Management experience (10+ years essential)
• Appropriate professional or academic qualification (e.g. MRICS)
• Strong understanding of contract management and FM contract models
• Strong understanding of contract payment mechanisms and performance failure mitigation, SLA & KPI’s
• Strong report preparation and presentation skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work effectively with demanding clients and customer
• Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products especially Excel and Word
• Strong negotiation skills
