Butler Rose is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the Plymouth area, for an experienced Procurement Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and dynamic business, playing a critical role in the procurement function and contributing directly to business performance.
The Role:
As Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement function by sourcing and securing a wide range of goods and services. You will ensure best value and compliance with internal policies while managing supplier relationships and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading procurement activities to deliver optimal value for money
Running competitive tendering processes and negotiating contract terms
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving continuous improvement
Managing supplier performance and resolving disputes where necessary
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfil requirements
Supporting procurement systems and reporting requirements
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven procurement experience in a relevant environment
A minimum of CIPS Level 4 (working toward Level 6)
Strong commercial awareness and contract negotiation skills
Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills
Experience with SAP and e-tendering systems
The right to work in the UK
