Location: Head Office, Carlisle
Working Hours: 24 hours per week (Part-time - Possible for extra hours)
Salary: Up to £27,000 Pro Rata
Reports To: Financial Controller
About the Role
I'm working with my client in Carlisle to help them find a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team at the Carlisle head office. This is a permanent, part-time role (24 hours per week), ideal for someone with a strong background in purchase ledger processes and a desire to contribute to an efficient and professional finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger functionProcessing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and in a timely mannerReconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepanciesSetting up new suppliers and maintaining accurate supplier recordsLiaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queriesSupporting the wider Finance Team in the delivery of accurate and timely financial reportingAssisting with month-end tasks related to purchase ledger activitiesSkills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts PayableStrong working knowledge of Sage 200 (Desirable)High level of accuracy and attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyA proactive and team-oriented approach
