Management Accountant
Full-time | 3-month contract | North Somerset | Up to £40,000
We're working with a growing business in need of a hands-on finance professional to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. This role is fully office-based in North Somerset.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in producing accurate monthly accounts, supporting a small team and giving financial insights that help drive business decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both the detail of accounting and the bigger picture of supporting growth.
As the Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly management accounts and reports for leadership.
Managing cashflow, forecasts and reconciliations.
Supporting month-end processes and financial KPIs.
Reviewing variances against budgets and forecasts.
Overseeing payroll and VAT submissions.
Assisting with annual budgets, year-end accounts, and audits.
Improving processes and supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.
To be considerd, you will have:
A background in management accounting.
AAT qualified and/or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent experience).
Strong Excel knowledge
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across different teams.
Organised, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in waste or logistics is helpful but not essential.
