This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a client portfolio, lead a talented team, and play a key role in the continued success of the practice.

Role Requirements -
Manage, operate and grow a successful and profitable diverse portfolio of clients.
Schedule, plan and complete audits independently from planning through to completion.
Ensure audit recoverability and profitability across all portfolios.
Manage, develop and motivate an audit team, ensuring efficiency, technical development, and strong client service.
Maintain the highest standards of compliance across the practice.
Identify and manage risk matters affecting the business.
Provide monthly reporting on turnover, profitability, chargeable time, and recoverability.
Offer ad hoc support to the Audit Director as required.

Person Requirements -
ACA or ACCA qualified (QBE or finalists will also be considered) with experience gained at a manager level role in audit working for a UK based firm.
Experienced in leading audits from planning to completion.
Technically strong in audit and accounting, with corporate tax knowledge desirable.
Skilled in building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
A clear communicator, both written and verbal, with the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.

Tax Senior (Private Clients) - Top tier accounting firm

Butler Rose Public Practice and delighted to be partnering with our client a highly reputable and established Top tier firm of chartered accountants, that are now eager to appoint a skilled, experienced, and ambitious Tax Senior to complement their Private Client tax team from their fantastic City of St Albans offices.

Role Requirements -
The firm is eager to appoint an individual to manage a varied personal client tax portfolio dealing with all routine personal tax compliance and ad hoc advisory work.
Managing all day-to-day requirements for a Private Client portfolio, comprising of a mix of clients such as HNWIs and partnerships with varied sources of income e.g., earned and investment income.
Dealing with a range of capital gains tax issues.
Assisting with or dealing with the delivery of technical advisory work on the portfolio to include one off advisory and compliance assignments.
Attending client meetings as required as well as fee proposing and raising client bills and regularly reviewing WIP.

Person Requirements -
ATT qualified and/or currently studying towards the CTA with at least 3 years' private/personal tax experience working for a reputable UK based firm.
Proven experience of effectively managing a portfolio of private clients (HNWIs, non-domiciles, property owners, OMBs, partnerships)
Strong tax compliance experience and ideally some advisory exposure
Excellent communication skills and well accustomed in liaising with the HMRC on behalf of clients.

Senior Accountant (Temporary) - Accounting firm

Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and well-established accounting firm based in the heart of Hitchin that are now seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is immediately available and able to commit to the assignment until the end of September.

Role Requirements -

Preparation of year-end statutory accounts under FRS102-1A and FRS105 for a varied portfolio of clients utilising CCH software.
Computations for associated corporation tax returns CT600 in line with HMRC requirements
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns to the HMRC.
Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries promptly.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.

Person Requirements -

(ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with at least 4 years' experience in a similar senior/client accountant role working for a reputable UK based firm.
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax, and VAT
Experience in an accountancy practice environment is essential.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Highly proficient in the use of CCH, XERO, Quickbooks software
Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with this well-known national accountancy firm with fantastic modern offices situated conveniently on the outskirts of Stevenage that are currently recruiting for an ambitious Tax Assistant to complement the existing tax department.

Role Requirements -
As a Tax Assistant, youll be supporting the firms busy tax department, working across a broad portfolio of clients including individuals, OMBS, SMEs, and larger corporate entities.
Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
Liaising with HMRC and clients to resolve queries
Supporting senior team members on tax planning and compliance projects
Maintaining accurate records and databases
Staying updated with tax legislation and industry developments

Person Requirements -
Ideally ATT/AAT part or fully qualified with at least 2+ years' experience working in a similar tax focused role with personal and corporate tax obligations working for a UK based firm.
Proficient in the use of various tax and accounting software g/tax software
