THE ROLE

You'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax work while building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses with turnovers ranging from start-ups through to approximately £3 million or beyond

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing year-end statutory accountsPreparing management accountsCorporation tax computations and returnsPersonal tax returns and self-assessmentVAT returnsBookkeeping where requiredLiaising directly with clients and HMRCResponding to client queries and providing day-to-day accounting supportManaging your workload to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved

ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

Previous experience working within an accountancy practiceThe ability to prepare complete sets of draft accounts with minimal supervisionGood knowledge of corporation tax, management accounts, bookkeeping duties, personal tax and VATStrong experience using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooksExcellent communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationshipsA proactive attitude with the ability to hit the ground runningPart Qualified, qualified or qualified by experience
