Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting a highly respected and growing accountancy firm in Godalming with the recruitment of an Audit Senior or Supervisor.

The Role -
As an Audit Senior / Supervisor, you'll take ownership of audits for a diverse portfolio of small to medium-sized clients across a diverse range of industries. You'll work closely with managers and junior team members to ensure audits are delivered efficiently on time, and to a high standard.
You'll also play a key role in staff development, client communication, and the continuous improvement of audit quality and efficiency.
Role Requirements -
Lead audits from planning through to completion for a variety of clients.
Supervise, train, and review the work of audit juniors and semi-seniors.
Perform risk assessments and identify key audit focus areas.
Apply advanced audit techniques, including substantive testing and analytical procedures.
Draft and review financial statements and audit reports, communicating findings to managers.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of timesheets, appraisals, and audit documentation.
Design and execute effective audit testing procedures, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Review forecasts and going concern considerations, performing sensitivity analyses and challenging assumptions.
Liaise with tax teams regarding provisions, computations, and returns.
Prepare comprehensive audit summary and highlights reports for management and partners.
Reassess audit risks throughout the engagement and ensure all adjustments are documented appropriately.
Person Requirements -
ACA / ACCA qualified with ideally 3+ years within an audit focussed role working for a well-regarded UK based regional accounting firm.
Proven experience leading audits and managing audit teams.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - confident with both clients and colleagues.
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Motivational team player with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Commercially aware with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
