Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client a well-known Top 15 accountancy firm in the recruitment of an Audit Manager for their renowned Media Department, based in stunning City of London offices.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UKs most respected firms, working with an impressive portfolio of clients across the TV, film, theatre, and advertising sectors.
The Role -
As an Audit Manager within the firm's dedicated Media Team, you will manage a portfolio of UK and international clients, including privately owned and private equity-backed groups reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS.
You'll work closely with Partners and Directors, taking ownership of the entire audit process-from planning through to completion-while also guiding, supporting, and developing junior team members.
Role Requirements -
Lead audits for substantial UK and international groups, overseeing all stages from initial planning to final completion.
Guide, mentor, and review the performance of audit teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
Develop and nurture strong client relationships, providing proactive and trusted advice.
Conduct thorough reviews of audit files and deliver constructive feedback to team members.
Communicate effectively with clients, HMRC, and other professional advisers throughout the audit process.
Manage all key aspects of audit administration, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and billing.
Support business development through involvement in client proposals, pitches, and media-focused projects.
Encourage collaboration across departments and actively participate in staff training and professional development initiatives.
Person Requirements -
ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 2 years' experience managing audits for both groups and individual entities working for a prominent UK based firm (not Big 4).
Solid working understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102, and IFRS.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and people development abilities.
Commercially aware, with a talent for explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
Highly organised with proven project management skills and attention to detail.
Ideally proficient in the use of CaseWare, CCH, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
