Duties
Preparation and filing of year-end accounts, business tax, capital allowances, self-assessments, and personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients.Support with R&D Tax claims and Capital Gains Tax computations.Review all year-end assignments, tax computations, and returns to ensure compliance with FRS102, tax legislation, and practice procedures.Manage a portfolio of clients for bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and management accounts, reviewing work prior to manager review.Prepare integrated financial projections, budgets, break-even analyses, and business plans; assist clients with raising finance and valuations.Provide strategic advice to clients on profitability, cash flow, efficiency, and business controls.Support, mentor, and manage Client Managers, Senior Client Accountants, and back-office staff; ensure work is delegated effectively and training needs are met.Promote cloud accounting and supporting applications across client portfolios.Contribute to billing, credit control, client onboarding, and administrative tasks, ensuring all client records and software systems are up to date.What we're looking for
5+ years' experience in an accountancy practice.AAT or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE.Strong technical and commercial knowledge of accounting, tax, and business advisory.Leadership skills with experience managing a team and mentoring junior staff.Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.Organised and proactive with a focus on delivering high-quality work within deadlines.Benefits

The Role
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will report to the Audit Managers and take responsibility for leading audits and supervising junior members of the team. The role offers an approximate split of 80% audit and 20% accounts preparation, giving you a broad and varied workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver audits from planning through to completion (approx. 80% audit / 20% accounts).Planning, supervising and carrying out audits with turnovers up to £250 million, including specialist audits (e.g. charities, pensions, solicitors, schools, FSA)Supervise junior staff, providing technical guidance and on-the-job support.Prepare draft corporation tax computations and statutory accounts under FRS 102.Prepare consolidated accounts and assist with group reporting where required.Draft management recommendations following audit fieldwork.Review and finalise audit files within deadlines and budgets.Key Requirements:
