Interim Financial Controller / Year-End Accountant

A leading international organisation with a global reach is seeking a technically strong and commercially minded qualified accountant to support its finance team through a busy year-end period.
This assignment offers the opportunity to work with a complex, multi-entity structure, collaborating with Big 4 auditors and senior leadership to deliver accurate, compliant financial reporting under IFRS.
Key responsibilities include:.
Supporting the delivery of the Annual Report, including preparation of financial briefings for senior stakeholders.Take ownership of the audit process by coordinating deliverables, maintaining well-prepared audit files, and ensuring all queries are addressed within agreed deadlines.Lead statutory and entity-level reporting activities, covering areas such as fixed assets, leases, and group consolidation to ensure full compliance.Preparing detailed financial statements and reports across multiple entities in line with IFRS and internal accounting policiesOversee sustainability reporting requirements, ensuring disclosures are accurate, aligned with reporting standards, and integrated into the wider financial statements.Partner with the Finance Director and senior stakeholders to provide clear financial analysis and practical recommendations that support business decisions.Offer guidance and oversight to junior colleagues, promoting high standards and consistency across all financial reporting outputs.The ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA ) with at least 5 years' PQE.Have strong technical accounting and IFRS experience gained within a complex, multi-site or international environment.Have operated previously as a Financial Controller, Financial Reporting Manager, Group Accounting Manager or equivalent.Be confident working under pressure to deliver accurate results to tight deadlines.Be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and driving process improvements.This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available or available within two weeks qualified accountant to make a real impact within a global organisation during a key reporting cycle.
