THE ROLE:
The role of Audit & Accounts Senior offers a varied workload with a 50/50 split between audit and accounts responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of tasks and thrives in a dynamic environment. Your week may include management accounts, VAT, and year-end accounts one week, followed by audits for larger clients the next.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Audit & Accounts Senior, you key responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of clients, including audits for companies ranging from £10m to £50m in turnoverLeading audits and preparing financial statements for a wide range of industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, retail, and moreSupporting the Directors with business planning and tax compliancePreparing and reviewing management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end accountsLiaising directly with clients to ensure high-quality service deliveryManaging junior staff and providing support and mentoring where appropriate
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will have experience in both audit and accounts, with a solid understanding of UK GAAP.
You should be comfortable managing your own portfolio, with the ability to balance multiple tasks effectively. The firm would particularly welcome someone who is ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), though those with relevant experience at a semi-senior level will also be considered.
