Butler Rose is currently recruiting for a Part timeJob Description for Accounts Administrator/Accounts Assistant for a client of ours based in Birmingham

They are looking for someone that will work c16½ hours per week and are flexible in terms of the days that can be worked


• Data entry of sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank.
• Reconciliation of sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank and payroll.
• Preparation and release of supplier payment run.
• Credit analysis, control and collections.
• Preparation of adjustments and miscellany (eg inventory, rebates, credits, commissions, expense reimbursements, exchange rates, etc.)
• Posting journal entries monthly.
• Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
• Support for annual budget preparation.
• Submit VAT return; prepare and submit EC Sales return.
• Analysis of expense codes for corporation tax computation.
• Liaise with external accountants.
• Keep accounts files well organised, filed and archived.
• Sundry administrative duties.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and experience are essential.
• Experience in IT systems is important, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting software required. Experience with Sage 200 a plus.
• Accounting and bookkeeping qualifications are desired but not essential.
