Tax Manager
North Hertfordshire
£50,000 to £65,000
Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established and prominent Hertfordshire based firm of accountants, that are now eager to appoint a suitably experienced and ideally CTA qualified Tax Manager into this newly created role.
Role Requirements -
As Tax Manager you will collaborate with the Tax Director to oversee a mixed client portfolio offering compliance, advisory and tax planning services to a range of corporate and personal clients.
Review & preparation of personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients to include sole traders, partnerships, OMBS, HNWIs, and trusts.
Preparation, review & submission of corporation tax returns & computations.
Advising individuals and companies on routine and ad-hoc tax matters.
Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
Dealing with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
Assist on tax advisory projects for existing clients and prospects.
Identify tax planning opportunities within individual and corporate clients.
Meeting with clients and potential clients.
Supporting and reviewing the work of more junior members of the tax team.
Person Requirements -
Ideal CTA newly qualified or late stage studying with at least 3+ years' experience in a similar mixed personal and corporate tax role incorporating compliance, advisory and planning working for a UK based practice.
Strong technical tax knowledge to include CGT, IHT, and all business taxation aspects.
Daily dealings with a varied client portfolio & regular meetings with staff & clients.
Ability to write letters explaining complicated planning issues as well as verbal communication skills.
