Job description
We are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to valued customers. With a strong reputation for innovation and customer satisfaction, they are seeking to recruit a Credit Controller within their team.
As a Credit Controller you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and success of the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring timely payments from customers and minimising credit risk. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for finance and exceptional communication skills, this role could be for you.
It is offering hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, monitoring credit limits and payment terms.
* Review and assess credit applications and recommend credit limits based on analysis.
* Proactively contact customers to ensure timely payments and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
* Handle customer inquiries and provide outstanding customer service related to billing and account statements.
* Collaborate with the sales team to resolve billing disputes and address customer concerns.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit-related activities.
* Monitor and analyse accounts receivable aging reports to identify and address delinquent accounts.
* Prepare regular reports on credit control performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in credit control.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Knowledge of accounting software and credit management tools.
