VAT Assistant Manager

Role Requirements:

Preparation and review of VAT returns ensuring they are completed correctly and in a timely manner from the financial data processed.Manage the filing of the VAT returns to HMRC each month.Significant understanding of and previous experience with VAT compliance.A good knowledge of VAT technical areas.Responsibility for reviewing of VAT returns prepared by other team members.Experience using an accounting/compliance software platform.Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.Monitoring the VAT workflow across the client base.Working with internal staff to provide guidance and advice on VAT issues.Any other ad hoc work where required.

Personal Requirements:

ACA/ACCA/ATT/ CTA qualification, or a similar professional qualification (QBE candidates may also be considered)Significant exposure to personal and private client tax in a specialist or mixed role.Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.Experience of working in a client-facing role.Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines.Demonstrate accuracy in technical work delivered.
