Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly innovative and internationally recognised Exeter business.
Our client is a award winning organisation with a strong global presence, an extensive and growing product portfolio, and a track record of award‑winning innovation. They are now seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support their expanding operations and play a key role in the ongoing development of their supply chain function.
The RoleThis is a varied and hands‑on position suited to an experienced Supply Chain Assistant who is comfortable working with multiple suppliers and taking ownership of day‑to‑day purchasing and inventory activities. The role will support demand planning, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Key responsibilities will include:
Raising, issuing and expediting purchase ordersManaging supplier communication and supporting performance against KPIs such as OTIFMaintaining accurate data within stock and inventory systemsSupporting inventory management and ensuring availability to meet demandProviding detailed shipping and delivery informationWorking cross‑functionally to support wider operational objectivesAssisting with supply chain improvements and process optimisationAbout YouYou will be a proactive and highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You'll be a confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external suppliers, and naturally inquisitive with a desire to improve the way things are done.
Essential skills and experience:
Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to analyse data accuratelyHigh attention to detail and a methodical approachExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a collaborative teamDesirable:
