Senior Bookkeeper | Business Services Manager - Accountancy Practice

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a leading specialist accountancy firm in the recruitment of a Senior Bookkeeper or Business Services Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised firm specialising in the entertainment, media, sport and creative industries. Working with an impressive portfolio of high-profile clients, you will manage your own client portfolio while delivering high-quality bookkeeping, VAT and business management services within a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients across the entertainment, media, sport and creative sectorsPrepare bookkeeping records and process VAT returns for a varied client baseLiaise directly with clients, agents, managers and other professional advisersReconcile agency statements and assist with withholding tax (WHT) mattersProcess payrolls where applicable (experience beneficial)Ensure clients receive a proactive, confidential and high-quality serviceSupport and review junior team members as the role develops

Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience within an accountancy practice in a bookkeeping or business services roleStrong bookkeeping and VAT experienceExperience using Xero (Sage experience also beneficial)Knowledge of UK VAT and PAYE, with WHT experience advantageousExcellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with high-profile clientsOrganised, discreet and able to manage multiple client assignments simultaneouslyPrevious experience working with entertainment, media or sports clients would be advantageous
