QHSE Manager

Salary: £60,000 Location: Plymouth | Permanent

Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced QHSE Manager. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to senior management, offering the opportunity to drive quality, health, safety and environmental performance across a growing manufacturing operation.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the company's integrated management systems, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement and the maintenance of ISO accreditations, whilst fostering a proactive culture focused on quality, safety and operational excellence.

The Role

As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and delivering the company's QHSE strategy, objectives and improvement plans.Leading management reviews and ensuring effective governance of QHSE systems.Maintaining and improving ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations.Ensuring products consistently meet customer and regulatory quality requirements.Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective and preventative actions.Acting as the primary escalation point for customer quality concerns.Establishing robust quality assurance, quality control and inspection processes.Driving continual improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.Managing Health & Safety compliance, risk assessments and COSHH processes.Leading environmental and sustainability programmes, including waste reduction and resource optimisation.Planning and conducting internal audit programmes.Managing external audits and regulatory inspections.Working closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards.About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

A recognised qualification in a relevant discipline.Proven experience in a senior Quality, QHSE or Compliance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.Experience leading audits, compliance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.A proactive and hands-on approach to driving quality and safety improvements.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.What's on Offer?Salary of £60,000Enhanced pension and leave entitlementLife assurance Early Friday finish Health care assistanceOpportunity to influence business-wide strategy and improvement initiativesExcellent opportunity for career development and long-term progression
