QA Technician / Production Operative (Temporary) Plymouth £13.00 - £14.00 per hour Temporary contract until February 2027, with the potential for a permanent opportunity ⏰ Immediate start available
We are recruiting for a QA Technician, or a Production Operative (with food industry experience) to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous food manufacturing quality experience to join a busy technical team on a long-term temporary contract, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate. If you do not possess quality experience then you will still be considered if you have good production experience in an FMCG industry (training will be provided)
This is a hands-on, role where you will play a key part in maintaining food safety, quality, and compliance standards across production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine quality assurance checksComplete GMP audits across production areasCarry out pre-start checksVerify labels and packing specificationsMonitor CCPs and quality control pointsSupport product traceability activitiesPerform hygiene verification checksRaise and report non-conformancesProvide general support to the Technical team as requiredAbout You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in a food manufacturing QA or food quality positionKnowledge of HACCP, GMP, allergen management and food safety standardsExperience completing and reviewing production and quality documentationConfidence to challenge non-compliance and promote best practice on the factory floorExcellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skillsReliable attendance and the ability to commute to the Plymouth site consistentlyWhat's on Offer?
