Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected manufacturing organisation for a Process Owner to join their engineering and production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced manufacturing professional, or a graduate with a relevant degree and experience in industry
The Purpose of the role will be to take ownership of critical production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the delivery of high-quality products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
As Process Owner, you will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes are controlled, compliant, efficient, and continuously improving. Working closely with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, you will play a key role in process optimisation, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring manufacturing and chemical processes are carried out in accordance with approved methods, materials, and equipment standards.Monitoring and reporting process performance metrics and audit results.Championing process management and continuous improvement activities across the department.Managing incoming process materials and supporting the approval and implementation of new materials.Working closely with Supply Chain to maintain material availability and identify suitable alternatives when required.Leading the implementation of new processes, equipment, and capital projects.Maintaining and approving departmental procedures, process documentation, and operating instructions.Supporting training activities and maintaining compliance with training requirements.Collaborating with engineering teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.Conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.Managing departmental PFMEA activities and risk reduction plans.Supporting 5S, TPM, OEE measurement, and lean improvement initiatives.Participating in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects focused on cost, productivity, quality, and waste reduction.About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years' experience within a complex manufacturing or engineering environment - ideally casting.HNC minimum qualification in an engineering discipline (degree preferred).Strong understanding of process control, manufacturing methods, and continuous improvement techniques.Experience of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, process management, value stream mapping, or similar improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.Awareness of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.Package & Benefits

This is a key engineering role offering real influence across new product introduction, process optimisation, and day-to-day production support within a technically advanced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
The Role
As Senior Process Engineer, you will take ownership of critical manufacturing processes within the sheet metal area, ensuring new products, equipment and improvements are delivered to world‑class standards.
You'll work across NPI, continuous improvement initiatives and live production support, playing a central role in driving performance, capability and efficiency while helping to embed a strong continuous improvement culture across the factory.
This role would suit a proactive, technically strong engineer who enjoys solving problems, leading improvement projects and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Process Ownership & Performance
