An established and well-respected accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its friendly team in Canvey Island. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of around 30 clients across a wide range of industries, providing high-quality bookkeeping support. This is a varied role offering exposure to different accounting software, client requirements and compliance areas, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships and delivering an exceptional service.
Role Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of approximately 30 bookkeeping clients.Process day-to-day bookkeeping for a variety of businesses across multiple sectors.Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.Complete CIS returns where required.Support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliance.Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and Microsoft Excel.Liaise with clients to obtain information, answer queries and resolve bookkeeping issues.Work closely with partners to deliver an efficient service across their client portfolios.Handle a varied workload, supporting clients of different sizes with differing bookkeeping requirements.Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines.Personal Requirements

Due to continued growth, a well-established accounting firm is looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join its St Ives team. You will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping needs of a portfolio of clients, including processing sales and purchase invoices, completing bank reconciliations and preparing VAT returns. The role also offers regular client contact and the opportunity to work closely with the accounts team, making this a varied position for someone who enjoys both technical bookkeeping and client interaction.
